While looking at Star Choice dishes I note that they have 2 kinds- a 24 inch
round dish with a single LNB and an oval dish with 4 LNBs. I can buy either if
I decide to go Star Choice. Here is what I want:

1. Reception in the SE USA
2. Only one receiver but may add more later
3. English programming only

Which dish should I get or does it matter?

Lithia...The Oval one is the one you want if you want US programming.
Otherwise you will be very limited on the number of channels that are
received from the US. Also that oval dish can receive Ethnic programming.
The round dish only receives French and partial English Canada and US
channels.

Not true, you can get only F1, the primary english bird, with a round
dish, probably most customers do (all since their launch in 1997 did,
they only started oval dishes in 2001). There are some things you
won't get, HDTV is one of them if that interests you, and the signal
reaches you.
