You can "differ" all you want..posession of US Sat gear is NOT illegal, yet.
Reprograming equipment is, i.e. HU loaders, altho only the dealers are being
targeted, so far.

You can "differ" all you want..posession of US Sat gear is NOT illegal, yet.
Reprograming equipment is, i.e. HU loaders, altho only the dealers are being
targeted, so far.

Posession is illegal if the equipment is used, or intended to violate
certain clauses in the RCA, namely to decode satellite programming
outside of authorization from lawful providers (which the SC has
determined only SC and ExpressVu are the only lawful providers of
satellite service to Candian individuals).

Guys ..dont panic....
The easiest way if you dont have a US contact, is to go to the US and
purchase the system of your choice.
Take it out of the box....
Turn the box inside-out to hide the commercial logos.
Remove the plastic bag except for the receiver.
Take card out of box.( There are crooks at customs too you know....)
Repack dish and receiver in unmarked box.
Go to the nearest UPS Office after finding a local phony address that you
will remember......
Mail the box to yourself in Canada using a fake name.
Insure the box as usual..
On the Customs forms at UPS destined for the border declare the box as Used
Parts for receiver.
Pre-Pay the shipping charges CASH no credit cards.
99.9 % of the time this has worked fine.
All boxes are sniffed by mechanical and K9 at the border.
Warning - DO not manipulate drugs like Pot or Cocaine prior to handling your
dish system .Dogs will pick up scent and your goose will be cooked.....

So what if something happens you will ask. Hell you dont know shit. Even the
guy who sent it probably a mailing error from UPS. And he wasn't lying on
the declaration.... Those ARE parts for a receiver. The only thing risked is
the money invested in the system . That's it. !!!

Well, if one is already comitting a crime to watch the thing ... so
it doesn't make much difference, does it.

Yeah, I guess you would need the box too ... don't worry, with all the wires
going through the patio door, I'm sure opening the door and grabbing the
box wouldn't be a great challenge.
