Virgil Vox = Virgil Fox, an artefact of TV digital audio --> analog audio
processing?
My ears are dammed good, but for the life of me I always heard Fox as
opposed to Vox.
To amuse myself during the "Andromeda" episodes, I listen for the primary
castmembers from Ontario Torontoisms -- they let a few loose now and then...
But it is not the festival of Torontoisms that "Ready or Not" is.
F's and V's across European languages do switch -- similar to B's and V's
(Habana vs Havana).
TV broadcasters in the US I assume use OPTIMOD-TV, made by Orban (an AKG
subsidiary).
In Canada, where I saw some of the same episodes on the Space (aka Space the
Imagination Station) cable TV network -- it still sounded like Fox. I assume
that Space is using the DTV version of OPTIMOD-TV.
Did someone cock up somewhere along the audio processing chain?
Is this a post production problem?
