Virgil Vox = Virgil Fox, an artefact of TV digital audio --> analog audio
processing?
My ears are dammed good, but for the life of me I always heard Fox as
opposed to Vox.

To amuse myself during the "Andromeda" episodes, I listen for the primary
castmembers from Ontario Torontoisms -- they let a few loose now and then...
But it is not the festival of Torontoisms that "Ready or Not" is.

F's and V's across European languages do switch -- similar to B's and V's
(Habana vs Havana).

TV broadcasters in the US I assume use OPTIMOD-TV, made by Orban (an AKG
subsidiary).

In Canada, where I saw some of the same episodes on the Space (aka Space the
Imagination Station) cable TV network -- it still sounded like Fox. I assume
that Space is using the DTV version of OPTIMOD-TV.

Did someone cock up somewhere along the audio processing chain?
Is this a post production problem?

Never watched "Ready or Not"

But was sure Andromeda was out in B.C. Along with "Stargate"
Although it's a given that many "t" natives are probably getting paychecks
there

I know "farscape" was done in "T-ranna" though , but with mainly U.K
.actors.
Except for the cutie with the ponytails who is a verbally clear T.O. native.

Yes the 2 Staregate series are done in the Vancouver area. Don't really know
about Andromeda.

But you are very off about Farscape. Farscape was filmed in Australia with
mostly Australian & New Zeeland actors. In fact IRRC all of the main cast
with the exception of Ben Bowder (from the USA who played John Crichton)
were from either Australia or New Zeeland.

Actually we can both be right.
As many "series", and full length movies, often use several sources for
"taping locations"
And actors from many countries.
To get around "country of origin/distribution" issues.

It's always a bit of a giggle to watch some shows that have segments taped
in completely different locals.
That are visible in "outside/street" shots.
One minute you will see a landmark from one city, then five minutes later
you will notice a different landmark from a city/country thousands of miles
away.
They catch many in editing, but it's surprising how many slip through.

Although many times you no longer see closing credits run after movies or tv
shows, it's often quite interesting to see the "our thanks to the
city/people of" segments, or the number of "location crews" that are used

I know that's true for many show/movies/films. But, I know for a fact that
the Farscape series was done in Australia & that most of the cast was from
there or New Zeeland.
