Are All NASCAR Races on Canadian TV?
(too old to reply)

Many cable and satellite systems in Canada carry the main US broadcast
networks, so the races on Fox and NBC are no problem. However, it
doesn't appear that anyone carries FX or TNT, nor do they intend to. I
see that the sports channel TSN has some NASCAR events but not all.

So, what do Canadians do when Cup and Busch events are carried on FX and
TNT? Are they available somewhere else, or are Canadian fans out of
luck ever seeing these races?

NASCAR is just not a Canadian thing. They have no tracks in Canada and besides,
it would be confusing in that all the speeds are shown in MPH and you would
have to constantly use a calculator to figure out how fast they were going in
KPH. Also, when the announcer says "they are running on a cold track because
the temperature is only 50 degrees, you would have to use the calculator again
to convert 50 degrees US into 50 degrees canadian. Then, you have the various
purse amounts so if Sadler wins $300,000, again you have to get out a
calculator and check the exchange rate to see what he won in canadian dollars.
So rather than to drive Canadian people nuts trying to figure all this out,
best we leave NASCAR where it belongs- in the USA.

Good idea. And while we're at it, best to stop showing track & field
and swimming events in the US too. Who wants to go through all of that
effort in trying to convert meters into yards and feet.

I agree. Just too confusing. I don't understand why the world uses these dumb
measurment systems based on 10 as opposed to 12. They should convert to the
good old USA system!

Now that we've covered all of the smart-aleck comments, could someone
please address the original question?

Most of the time TSN will pick up the TNT broadcast (I can't think of a
time, recently, where we couldn't watch the race on one of the channels.
There's always NASCAR In Car. One channel has the total race coverage while
the others have the in car coverage.

Does that include Busch too, or just Cup?
